QB completes a 10 yard pass and the WR goes 60 yards after the catch why are the 70 yards given to the QB and count the 70 yards of passing?

Why not have a 'Run after reception" category?

Also when a receiver drops a catchable ball have another category call "Drop pass" and not count it as an incomplete pass.

Maybe the former is hard to say just where the receiver caught the ball, and the latter: difficult to decide what is "catchable" and just got miffed by receiver.
Good thoughts, though.

They do have a Yards After Catch(YAC) stat...it is a WR stat though. If they did not give the QB those yards, their stats would be really really low. Same goes for the dropped passes. They do have a Dropped Pass stat but it is agains a WR stat.

Because the QB is responsible for how many yards a WR can rack up after the catch. You hit a guy in space and in stride and he can add 30, 40, 50 yards on the end. You hit a guy in heavy coverage, or out of stride, or throw behind him or at his shoelaces, and you get no yards after the catch. That's why they keep separate stats for WRs on YAC and such. If the QB can't get it there, the WR has NO yards, so the QB gets credit for all of them.
