We'll see if the Kentucky Wildcats are for real, that their win over Louisville last week was no fluke, and we'll see what kind of brilliant game plan Houston Dale Nutt and his Murray State Mafia will concoct.
After today, beating Louisville isn't looking like such a great accomplishment.

Felix Jones breaks off a big run down inside the 10, but 'Cats defense holds and forces a FG. Hogs up 13-7 with 11 minutes left in the opening half.
And Michigan wins its second straight, defeating Penn St. Incidentally, did anyone realize that Appalachian State was beaten by Wofford today?

Well, they had a QB last year that went 8-0 in his starts. But the genius coach ran him and the mastermind offensive coordinator off.

I kind of figure if you give up a long drive in the last two minutes you deserve to get beat any way.
Maybe they actually learned from their boneheaded decision last week of not going for 2.

Even with two of the best RB's around, Arky's not a good offensive team.

It's a crime that a great player like D-Mac is being wasted by that inept coaching staff.
If that idiot coach is retained after this season, the Hogs will be lucky to win three or four games the next two years. Heck, even if Nutt doesn't come back, they're going to be in bad shape because of his lackluster recruiting.

They are highlighting McFadden's decreasing chances of winning the Heisman b/c Ark. has already lost two games. They're probably right.
Any minute now they'll point out how Booty is 19/24 for 192 and 2 TDs against the puffs of air wearing WSU uniforms.
Maybe we can give the Heisman AND national championship trophies out on Halloween this season and drop the rest of the season and instead start christmas shopping early.

For the first time in a long while here in Lexington, Kentucky, people are talking football instead of just waiting for basketball season to start. It's kind of fun, although it apparently doesn't take much for fans of a traditionally marginal football program to get cocky. Trust me, I am hearing it.
The second big topic besides UK football is Billy Gillespie. Some people are wondering if he will last as basketball coach. The rumors are running wild about his drinking and messing with coeds in Lexington. Much of it is probably untrue/embellished, but I think there is a seed of truth to it. The rumors run from him doing coeds left and right to Billy getting tossed out of a popular bar for being drunk and disorderly to him being stopped by the cops and let off the hook.

That's what the rumors hold - booze and college girls. Then again, they are rumors, although I don't think they can brushed off completely either. I think the old timers think back and have this fear Billy is another Eddie Sutton. Divorced Gillespie bought a huge $1M plus house in Jessamine County just outside of Lexington for himself, no family, so I imagine there will be (are) some rockin parties out there.
