Help me figure out what kind of performance Bradford has to have to bring his QB rating down below 200 before we play Texas... Colorado has to get 2 or more picks, or have less than 50% completion percentage with less than 200 yards... Is that about right?

No clue. I couldn't even tell you what the formula for that rating is.

Rather than concern myself on how Bradford's rating goes under 200, I'd prefer to try and figure out how he gets it over 300.

I think he'll have to sit out the bufferoes game....;)

What's CU's defense like? Haven't watched them much except for a few minutes of their game with ASU.

It has a Norman Rockwell quality to it.

You rang....

Well I've got Sam's current rating at 215.45 . Incidently the single season record is from Colt Brennan last year at 186.0, and the freshman record is Michael Vick at 180.4.

The rating is 100*(comp %) + 8.4*(yds/att) + 330*td% -200*(int%)

His values so far:

Comp 75
Att 96
Yards: 1067
TDs: 14
Ints: 2

So, if for example, he goes 10 for 25 for 150, no TDs and 2 picks vs CU, his rating goes to 186.30

If he goes 15 for 25 for 186, 2 TDs and 1 Int, he is right at 200.

Or 15 for 30 for 281, 2 TDs, no ints, he is right at 200,

Or 12 for 25, for 182, 3 TDs, 1 Int, he is right at 200,

Or....

Yes you are correct winning games is more important but the time between games is a full day longer, I figured hey, why not bring up some football talk on the football board

You really didn't have to reply if you didn't want to discuss it, but I don't see the harm in talking about it.

By the by I had a smart *** texan that wanted to bet me Bradfords rating wouldn't be over 200 when he faced Texas and it looks like barring his worst game by far and then some, he will still have a 200 passer rating at 2:30 on Oct 6. Good for Sam, Good for the offensive line that lets him get those passes off, good for the recievers who catch the ball when it's thrown to them and good for the coaches for working a scheme that plays to our QB's strength.

I thought this was math talk.

Can we get a ruling?
