Anybody have some suggestions on your favorite defensive rounds

I've got some Speer 90 grain GDHP and some Magsafe 380ACP+P 60 Gr D

I read an article that called into question the magsafe's reliability and wondered if anyone had any experience with them

if you going to get a ACP, don't be a pansey about it, get a .45.

yes, I'd go ahead and buy .45 ACP rounds. They have more stopping power:D

The only problem with cheap ammo is not firing when the trigger is pulled, and when you are talking security purposes, that is unacceptable. Now for target practice, no biggy.

I have a .380. If you have useful information, go ahead.

.45's suck for concealed carry.

oh, i didn't know you were using it for a CC.

I know PMC makes a pretty good .45 cartridge, sometimes I buy Speer. I use the 230 grain FMJ. But I don't have a .380. If I were you, just buy a few different brands and see which shoots better for you.

well, the ammo I listed wasn't cheap.

Does $20 for 8 rounds sound cheap to you?

or $17 for 20 rounds?

I don't think .45 ACP rounds will fit into his .380 ACP pistol.

And .40 S&W is a better round than .45. Idjits.

Other than that, I have no input on the subject.

well, for defensive rounds I hope I never shoot, I'll spend a little extra.

The knockdown on those rounds are higher than a .45 hollowpoint. But I read that Glasers feed more reliably

reminds me of the Snub nosed S&W .380 revolver. Great little guns, just hope the perp isn't more than 30 yards off and moving.

I had one for the same reason. Hated that little ****er so I got rid of it.
I load Mrs. Rogue's 32 with one round (the first) with bird shot and the rest some hollow points. When target practicing she shoots the face first and them aims center-mass. Same theory with the 12 guages at the house...face first then body shots. We load a few rounds of 00buck and a few of BBs.

My theory is like OV's...in theory shot placement is great but there's no substitute for just putting as much lead as possible downrange.

Thing I'd worry about with a .380 is wounding someone that would sue me later. But man you can keep that little sucker in your pants pocket and be discreet.

It actually handles quite well. I can throw a descent group at about 30ft. But if there 30 yards away, I wouldn't waste my rounds.;)

If James Bond can get by with a .380, I can.
